Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. has released the video titled “USE CASE — Fusion Splicing in the Coldest Place in Japan” in collaboration with TSUKEN Co. Ltd., who field tested our cold-resistant fusion splicer.

This video introduces fusion splicing performed by TSUKEN Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sapporo City, Hokkaido, President: Yoshihisa Omura) in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, using the new cold-resistant fusion splicer. In addition to the Japanese version, English and Chinese versions are also available.

With the idea of listening to feedback from the field and reflecting them in our development and services in mind, the video touches on the difficulties faced in cold regions and in work efficacy. We have put our strong will to solve customers’ troubles into the development of this fusion splicer.
